My Map Book takes “the map that gets you from here to there” and turns it into every kind of child-like map possible. Here are some favorites: Map of My Tummy (spaghetti and cake included☺), Map of My Heart (friends, family, sunny days, and, of course, chocolate), Map of My Dog, and, the one with the most giggles, Map of My Face. A great way to think about – and learn about – maps.

This is a wonderful book that looks at every kind of map and why we use it. Of course, it’s done in the Seuss-like way which makes it fun to hear and easy to remember. This book was definitely written a few years back since – as children like to point out – it’s missing the “car map” that parents use. I take this to mean GPS.☺
